Xarpis is a browser-based collection of engineering calculation tools for structural, rigging and pressure-equipment workflows. The calculators are free to use and include SI and US customary units, visible assumptions, governing checks, methodology pages and benchmark validation. Current tools include lifting lug, spreader beam, base plate, steel beam, 2D frame FEA, crane ground bearing, fatigue and pressure-vessel calculations. PDF report exports are available separately. 

Calculators 

• Steel column base plate: Size a steel column base plate and check bearing, plate bending, anchors and welds.
• Lifting lug & padeye: Check a single-plate lifting lug or padeye for plate, pin and weld at the sling angle.
• Steel beam & plate girder: Analyse a steel beam or plate girder and check section resistance to a selected code.
• Lifting trunnion: Check a pair of vessel lifting trunnions for member, weld and local shell stress.
• Pressure vessel thickness: Size or rate shells, heads and cones for internal pressure, vacuum, MAWP and hydrotest.
• Fatigue spectrum analyzer: Assess a welded or plain detail for fatigue from a stress history or a stress spectrum.
• 2D frame & beam FEA: Draw a plane frame, beam or truss and read its reactions, diagrams and envelopes.
• Spreader & lifting beam: Size a spreader or lifting beam and check its padeyes, welds and sling angles.
• Crane ground bearing: Find the ground pressure under a crane's outriggers or tracks and size the pads.
• Vessel upending: Track hook loads, tail reaction and attachment vectors through an upend or tailing lift.
